Railway train control device

The device contains a central station (SZ) for the track which produces instruction messages based on vehicle, track and control mechanism data and for address-free transfer to vehicles (Z1,Z2) on the track via conducting loops (L12,L21) of limited extent in the rails. On receiving instruction messages, the trains return location messages to the central station which are taken into account when the data for the next train are processed. When several trains are on the track, the central station assigns an identity (K1) to at least one train; when the train acknowledges the identity it is sent an instruction message. When the identity has been acknowledged, the central station may assign another identity to a following train. Trains accept only messages with their assigned identities until they are withdrawn by the central station.
