Orthopaedic support for patient's spine

Some of the supports (2-5) have transverse projections to grip sound or pathological vertebrae of the supported spine. The support is orientated lengthways along the spine and all supports grooved (8) normal to the orientation axis (7) to a depth appropriate to the size of the respective projections. The distance of the supports from the spine as well as the spacing of the supports are adapted to the breadth and spacing of the sound and pathological vertebrae concerned. The lower pair of supports (2) measure 8 mm along their grooves as compared with a second pair (3,4) each with groove length 34 mm and width 9 mm. The support pair (5) has a groove width of 10 mm and the several pairs are at 35 mm intervals along the axis. Support pairs (4) stand 22 mm from the axis and pairs (4,5) 25 mm from the axis.
