Date May 29, 1997A multi-layer rubber blanket, that is intended for use on a rubber blanket cylinder, is secured at its underside to a dimensionally stable support plate. The ends of the multi-layer rubber blanket are not affected by mechanical or chemical cleaning. This is accomplished by sealing the front or end faces of the layers of the multi-layer blanket, which are situated underneath the outer, cover layer of the rubber blanket.
