PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a document fast by generating the font of one character by combining font constituent elements. SOLUTION: When character data on, for example, KANJI (Chinese character) 'KASHIWA' is received, a font constituent element identifier is sent to a controller 19, front constituent element memories 13 and 14, and a font constituent element cache memory 15. For example, if the left font coefficient element of the KANJI 'K1' = tree in Japanese is found in the font constituent element memory 15 and the right font constituent element 'HAKU' = white in Japanese is not found, the controller 19 outputs the right element 'HAKU' from a 1st font constituent element memory 13 and the left element 'K1' from the font constituent element cache memory 15 since the KANJI is a Ming style. Further, the right element 'HAKU' is stored in the font constituent element cache memory 15. Then the font constituent elements are varied in magnification by a font constituent element magnfication varying device 16 according to font coefficient element magnification variation parameters 112 and the outputted magnification-varied font constituent elements are sent to a font composing device 17 and composed into one KANJI character 'KASHIWA' in Japanese. |
