Combined television receiver and telephone remote control unit

The combined remote control unit (2) contains a key (11), whose operation results in automatic dialling or storage of a telephone number received and/or played back by the television receiver (1). The remote control unit preferably comprises a reception element (8) for a wireless transmission path from the television receiver for data transmission to the remote control unit. Typically the remote control unit contains an aerial (12) for transmission of the telephone number data to a base station (13), which is coupled to the telephone network.
