PRODUCTION OF COLOR FILTER FORMING SUBSTRATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a color filter forming substrate by which a display electrode formed later does not short-circuit to an under film formed for the electrodeposition of color filter materials and the substrate is easily produced in a small number of processes at a low cost. SOLUTION: An electrically conductive under film 12 is formed on a substrate 11, color filters 13R, 13G, 13B are formed on the under film 12 by electrodeposition and the under film 12 is etched using the color filters 13R, 13G, 13B as a mask to remove the exposed part of the under film 12 at the outside of the color filters.
