Equipment generating coloured dynamic lighting effects

A housing (1) contains a light-source (2), a colour-filter (3) with differently coloured areas, an optical converter (4) with a bundle of glass-fibres whose opposite ends are in different positions, a lens (5), and a drive mechanism turning the filter and converter on axes extending in the direction of the optical axis. The ratio of the angular velocity of the converter to that of the filter is between 0.5:1 and 0.6:1. At ther ends furthest from the light source the fibres are at an angle of less than 8 degrees to the optical axis. A shield can be mounted between the source and the filter, consisting of a glass plate with numerous perforations extending over the cross-section of the light emerging from the source.
