Handgrip for handbags and other types of hand-held bags

The handgrip (12) comprises a flexible flat strip with the ends provided with fittings to slide in mountings (8,10) attached to the handbag. The ends of the strap have stops to prevent them being pulled out of the mountings. The stops are shaped to take a clip fastening shoulder strap (6) for ease of carrying the handbag. The handgrip ends have hinged sections with the section lengths such that when the shoulder strap is attached the strap is pulled flat onto the handbag while the hinged ends are hinged upwards to align with the shoulder strap.
