Gear housing for windscreen wiper unit

A bearing neck, is formed as one piece on the gearing housing. The neck consists of a bearing sleeve in which exists a plain bearing (3) exists for a wiper axle (4). The gear housing has an offset (6) which lies internally adjacent to a car body (7). The offset has a bushing (11) having a surface opposing the offset so that the car body is clamped between the two. The bushing is attached to the gear housing by a bolt (20) intersecting the car body. The protruding part of the gear housing has longitudinal grooves (17) for locating bulges on the bushing. The bolt heads (19) rest partially in the grooves.
