Wind powered electric generator not driven by propeller blades
摘要
A wind powered electric generator employs a wind turbine to the exclusion of a conventional propeller blade drive. The large diameter collector cylinder (6) of rustless metal or plastic terminates in a cone (7) and the assembly is axially aligned into wind to result in an airflow of increased pressure and velocity to the turbine rotor (30) in the direction of the arrows. Venting via the impeller blades (31, 35) generates a reactive torque to drive the shaft-mounted generator (12) and the shaft (3) in its end support(16) is continually headed into wind via the vane(38).
