PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a joining method to obtain an optical element having optical characteristics of high quality by moving the optical element while narrowing the joint layer as the adhesive is hardened and shrinked. SOLUTION: At least one of optical elements is pressed and joined following the shrinkage of a joint layer due to hardening of an adhesive. For example, when two glass lenses 1, 3 each having 30mm diameterϕand 18mm radium R are joined by using an adhesive which can be hardened at room temp., a proper amt. of a two-liquid reactive epoxy adhesive 2 which is enough stirred and deaerated is applied on the joining face of the one clean glass lens 1. Then, the other clean glass lens 3 is laminated while foreign matter such as bubbles and dust is prevented from entering, and then the lenses are alined along the optical axis. In this case, since the adhesive is gradually hardened, the upper lens 3 is immediately moved at the speed of 80nm per min for three minutes in the direction to narrow the joining layer 6. Thus, the adhesive is completely hardened to complete the joining process. |
