PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read characters while keeping Chinese characters (KANJI) as they are or changing them into Japanese syllabary (KANA) or square forms of KANA corresponding to the learning level of KANJI by providing respectively specified input and output means. SOLUTION: In conformity to a program in a ROM 13, a main control part 12 sends the inputted level data of '1st grade of primary school' to a KANJI level table 17 and sends the input data of 'mountains were blue' (written in KANA) to an external storage part 15. A RAM 14 or the storage part 15 reads out a required character code and corresponding to this code, the document of 'mountains were blue' mixed with KANJI is prepared and stored in a source document storage part 16. While referring to the level data of '1st grade of primary school' in the table 17, it is judged whether these stored input data of 'mountains were blue' (written in KANJI and KANA) are lower than the KANJI learning level or not. The KANJI of 'mountain' lower than that level in this judgement can be read by a first-year student of primary school so that this KANJI can be stored in a display document storage part 19 as it is but the KANJI of 'blue' exceeding that level can not be read by that student so that it is sent to a KANJI converting part 18, converted to the KANA of 'blue' and stored in a storage part 18. Thus, the KANJI in all the sentences of input data can be matched with the learning level. |
