PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the standardization and the miniaturization of an electronic circuit base board by respectively equalizing the total number of bits of the digital information signal of the subcode frame of a CD formal and a high-grade CD formal and the number of bits of one frame. SOLUTION: A TOC read out from the optical disk 1 of a CD compact disk or a high-grade CD is inputted to a digital signal processing circuit 5 and decoded. When the total number of bits of the digital information signal of one subcode frame is expressed by Q, a sampling frequency by F, the number of quantizing bits by N, the number of channel of one frame by L, the number of subcode frame per second by K, the number of bits of a synchronizing signal in one subcode frame by S and the number of surplus bits by R, a high-grade CD and a CD to satisfy the relationship of Q=(F×N×L/K)+R+S have a common formal. Therefore, an electronic circuit base board can be miniaturized by using a conventional LSI for a CD.
