A power supply for electroluminescent lamps is disclosed. The power supply includes an inverter (410) that is used to drive an electroluminescent lamp (412). The power supply may also include a regulation circuit (400) that provides negative feedback output regulation of the output voltage of inverter (410) that is supplied to input (414) of electroluminescent lamp (412).
