<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change directions of a tape and to prevent a jam and biting-in of the tape by detecting a tape transmitting direction with a 2-way tape transmitting mechanism and quickly controlling a motor drive device. SOLUTION: A direction changing cycle is speeded up, and a tape biting phenomenon is detected by the 2-way tape transmitting mechanism having an end part detecting lever 35 fitted oscillatorily at a pivot point 36, together with a trigger arm 34. A changeover gear 26 is controlled by the end part detecting lever 35 and the trigger arm 34, and is connected to a main plate 20 having projecting arms 21 and 22. A tape transmitting direction is detected, and a switch 33 is operated with operating pins 30 and 31 by the projecting arm 22 having an inclined part 28 for reading a track on the tape, and a signal is sent to a microprocessor. Now, when a stop of the tape is detected, the motor drive device is quickly controlled, and the tape direction is changed to prevent a jam and gnawing of the tape.</p> |
