The invention relates to the processing and extraction industry and can be used for producing environmentally neutral powder materials for use in electrical technology, radio electronics and building materials production. The objective of the invention is an all-purpose and effective method of reprocessing natural minerals and industrially produced, in particular asbestos-containing, materials, to produce environmentally neutral powder materials. The initial material is crushed and mechanically treated in mill-activators of high power density. The power density must be sufficient to ensure a mechanical-chemical reaction which will break down the mineral fibres and not less than 500 W per kg of processed material. The relative speed of collision of the grinding elements with the initial material exceeds 200 m/s and is reached after acceleration of the grinding elements of between 100 and 1000 m/s<2>. |
