摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a control apparatus by which the effective current output and the reactive current output of a self-excited converter can be controlled effectively within a limit. SOLUTION: In a control apparatus, a self-excited converter 3 which is constituted of a self-arc-extinguishing element is connected to a power system 1 via a transformer 2, an effective current command and a reactive current command are computed in such a way that a change in the effective power is suppressed on the basis of a change in the active power flow or the like of a transmission line 8 connected to the power system 1, the respective commands are limited on the basis of a current capacity, an effective current reference and a reactive current reference are computed, and ignition pulses are controlled on the basis of the references so as to control the effective current and the reactive current of the power converter 3. In this case, the control apparatus is provided with a means by which the ratio of the effective current to the reactive current of a limitation applied to the effective current command and the reactive current command is changed on the basis of the magnitude of the active power flow of the transmission line.
