PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a magnetic disk having >=250G impact resistance which is higher than that (order of 200-250G) of a conventional magnetic disk and excellent in impact resistance performance. SOLUTION: In the magnetic disk in which a non-magnetic surface-treated film is formed on a substrate and a medium is formed thereon, the magnetic disk has hardness of Hv>-33δ+920 (in the formula,δis film thickness (μm) of the surface treated film, Hv is Vickers hardness (kg/mm<2> ) of the surface treated film), and the substrate is composed of an aluminum alloy having >=70kg/mm<2> Vickers hardness.
