Injection system with electronic control of the injected fuel amount and is designed to operate at relatively high pressure for injection of fuel by using a combined fuel-injection pump for compressing the fuel and to inject a predetermined amount of fuel. The combined injection-pump comprises a regulating unit (or positioning element) that responds to an applied voltage and a piston for drawing the fuel into a pump chamber and to compress the in-drawn fuel. An injection valve is provided to inject to compress fuel, and an electronic control unit is provided to control the count or number at which the control voltage is applied to the regulating unit and to control the injected quantity of fuel according to the number or count for the combined injection pump operating process, more specifically independently pf the engine revs.
