PURPOSE:To obtain a cylinder with superior surface smoothness by molding and curing a phenolic resin composition at a smooth part by using a screw which has the smooth part at its tip part. CONSTITUTION:A 50-300pts.wt. filler is mixed with 100pts.wt. phenolic resin to form the composition. The composition body is extruded into a cylinder. At this time, the screen which has the smooth part at its tip part and a cylinder matching with the screw are used and molding is performed by an extrusion molding method which heats the composition by the smooth part up to about 100-200 deg.C and molding and curing it after the extrusion until its shape can be held. Consequently, the cylinder with excellent surface smoothness is molded. The cylinder is used for an electrostatic latent image formation drum. The surface of the electrostatic latent image formation drum made of phenolic resin is therefore given superior smoothness, so an accurate copy can be taken. |
