A solenoid valve D is fitted in the fuel line from the fuel tank E to the engine A to be protected. When the solenoid valve D is operated it will interrupt the supply of fuel to the engine A so that the engine starts but then stalls with no indication of the reason. The closer the valve is to the engine, the quicker the engine will stall. The solenoid valve D can be controlled via several combinations of control circuits and can be used as in independent fuel immobiliser or as part of an alarm system. A manual valve may be used instead of the solenoid valve (fig.2). |
