PURPOSE:To obtain a cell with a homogeneous characteristic by using an electrode active material for which a hydrogen absorbed hydrogen storage alloy powder is mixed with another hydrogen reserve alloy powder tor which low- temperature emissive storage hydrogen receives heat treatment at a temperature of equilibrium resolution for hydride or less and is removed thereafter. CONSTITUTION:Two kinds of hydrogen storage alloys, one in which hydrogen is absorbed, and the other for which after the absorption of hydrogen, a dehydrogenation process is executed at a temperature of equilibrium resolution for hydride or less are used as electrode active materials, which are mixed and unified with a conductive agent along with a binding agent together and formed into an electrode. Thereby, equilibrium balance in an electrode between low- temperature emissive hydrogen and hydrogen as hydride is adjusted and thus a discharge characteristic of a cell is improved. In this way, a battery having a homogeneous characteristic can be obtained. |
