PURPOSE:To contract working process, to reduce cost, and to improve yield by forming an anode glass surface in each anode electrode into opaque part by a sand blast process and by forming a bulkhead thereupon. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of anode glass 23, an anode electrode 24 is formed by the coating of an electrode material and by a photolithoetching process. With a resist left on the anode electrode 24, a sand blast process is performed for the anode glass 23. Namely, abrasive grain and water are mixed together, which is blasted from a nozzle to the anode glass 23 using compressed air. By the sand blast process, the anode glass 23 in each anode electrode 24 is accurately formed into an opaque part 25 of clouded glass without unprocessed portion left. After the abrasive grain adherent on the glass 23 is removed by water cleaning, a resist 31 is removed from the electrode 24. A bulkhead 26 is then printed on the opaque part 25 of the anode glass 23. |
