CONSTITUTION:The titled device is provided with a depth of field arithmetic means 6 for operating depth of field information, based on absolute distance information, set diaphragm value information and a lens intrinsic data, a distance measurement arithmetic means 7 for outputting the shift quantity of a focused point of an object image which has passed through a photographic lens and a focused point of the photographic lens, as a distance measurement arithmetic value, and an indepth of field deciding means 8 for deciding whether the focused point of the object image exists in the focus side depth of the focused point of the photographic lens or not, based on the depth of field information and the distance measurement arithmetic value,and from the indepth of field deciding means 8, focusing information such as whether the object exists in the depth or not, or the front focus or the rear focus, etc. is outputted. In such a way, after the device has been set to a focus lock state, in case other object has been led into a focus zone, whether it new object exists in the focused depth of that time or not can be brought to an image display in a finder with high accuracy.
