PURPOSE:To improve the recording density and to rapidly detect the positions for recording/erasing/reproducing by forming pits for ID signals in order to retrieve a desired position by irradiating a laser beam at the position where a laser beam is simultaneously irradiated. CONSTITUTION:An ID signal pit 34 is provided in the radial direction from a center line 36 of a ROM pit train 33, at the 1/4 distance of the gap of ROM pit train 33 which are adjacent to each other in the direction toward the center of an optical disk 31 and on a peripheral line 37 which is parallel to the center line 36. In this case, the ROM pit train 33, the ID signal pit 34 and a recording region 35 are provided adjacent to each other in a spiral manner or in a concentric circular manner. Thus, a user increases the recording density of the information that is arbitrary recorded and beforehand recorded ROM and the position for recording, erasing and reproducing on the optical disk 31 is rapidly detected. |
