PURPOSE:To maintain an antimicrobial effect over a long period of time by forming an essential oil of mugwort internally having an antimicrobial property and inorg. porous particulates contg. this essential oil component together with a coating compsn. on the surface of the bedding. CONSTITUTION:The Artemisia plants are not particularly limited, insofar as these plants have the drug action components exhibiting the antimicrobial property. Artemisia capillaris THUNB. is more adequately used as the Artemisia plants having the particularly excellent antimicrobial effect. The mugwort essential oil or the essential oil component is included into the porous particulates. The porous particulates which are highly resistant to heat, water and corrosion are desirable. The inorg. porous particulates are used as such particulates. The carbonate, etc., of alkaline earth metals are used as the inorg. compd. forming the inorg. porous particulates. A grid-like coating compsn. layer 25 is formed only on the part of a sheet 30, which part corresponds to the back of a lying clown patient, in view of preventing the suppuration at the time of a bedsore when this bedding is applied to the sheet for use in hospitals. |
