PURPOSE:To ensure excellent image preservability and heat sensitivity and obtain a high-density image with excellent gradation properties, by using a heat-fusible material comprising at least two substances having different melting points. CONSTITUTION:A heat-fusible material and a coloring agent are supported by a network structure consisting of a microporous structure of a resin. The heat-fusible material is melted when being heated by a thermal head or the like, and exudes together with the coloring agent through voids in the network structure of the resin gradually onto a receiving sheet. When the heat-fusible material comprises at least two substances having different melting points, the amount of the coloring agent made to exude is varied with the quantity of thermal energy applied by the thermal head or the like, and by controlling the thermal energy applied, the amount of the coloring agent transferred can be varied. Accordingly, a fine and clear image expressing gradations with high fidelity and in a wide range can be obtained. |
