PURPOSE:To adapt an opening and closing device to a pressing machine by placing the lower mold of a mold on a movable table freely movable in horizontal and vertical directions and allowing the lower mold in which a material is received to protrude to insert the same in the gap between the upper and lower press plates of an existing pressing machine and allowing the table to retreat to allow an upper mold to fall on the lower mold by an opening and closing means. CONSTITUTION:A mold opening and closing device is positioned so as to be capable of inserting the movable table 21 of the mold opening and closing device 11 in the gap between the spaced-apart upper and lower press plates 8,5 of a pressing machine 1 at the position protruding from a housing 12. The movable table 21 on which upper and lower molds 33, 35 are placed is moved to a retreat position and the push-up members 37 on both sides of the table 21 is raised along with the upper mold 35 by the driving of a push-up member lift motor 41 and the motor 41 is driven in the opposite direction to seat the upper and lower molds 35, 33. The press plates 8,5 are brought to a pressure contact state through the table 21 and the molds 35, 33 to perform molding. Therefore, the mold opening and closing device is adapted to an existing pressing machine to easily enable the opening and closing of the molds. |
