The winder consists of a housing (2) containing a rotary rod (10). The rod carries a coaxial wheel (14) with a ratchet mechanism (16,23;17,32) allowing the wheel to rotate on one direction only. Each section of the ratchet mechanism consists of teeth (16,17) on one face of the wheel. Each set of teeth on the wheel is able to interact with teeth on an additional spring-loaded member (23,32). The first spring member is equipped with a lever (28) which permits its disengagement by pressing the member against the action of its spring (25).
