<p>PURPOSE:To stably treat a waste soln. containing tetramethylammonium hydroxide(TMAH) by cyclically applying the concn. change of TMAH to sludge to activate the sludge. CONSTITUTION:A waste soln. is treated with a activated sludge treatment apparatus consisting of a main aeration tank A, a solid-liquid separation tank B, a post-aeration tank C and a raw soln. supply tank D. Sludge sampled from a sewage treatment system is added to the main aeration tank A. A predetermined amt. of tap water is injected into the main aeration tank A, the solid- liquid separation tank B and the post-aeration tank C and compressed air is introduced into the main aeration tank A and the post-aeration tank C. Tetramethylammonium hydroxide(TMAH) of the waste soln. is gradually increased and, after 5 days from the point of time when operation is started, TMAH is set to 2400mg/l and total organocarbon is set to 1200mg/l and, thereafter, supply is performed in this concn. to continue steady operation. Supernatant water is discharged as treated water from the upper part of the solid-liquid separation tank B and the concn. of total organocarbon and that of TMAH in treated water are intermittently measured.</p> |
