The disclosure relates to an apparatus and a method for producing a hose package (1), formed by folding of a hose (2) of flexible material, in which the hose package consists of folds joining one another and composed of wall elements formed in the folding and contiguous with one another. These are located outside one another in relation to a centre axis (24a) of the hose package. A fixing device (10a), a lower folding device (11) and an upper folding device (12) formed as polygons form, by a controlled sequence of movements, the folds and thereby the hose package. The lower folding device is disposed, on braking of the folding cycle, to stop in its position located most distal from the centre axis (24) of the apparatus when a predetermined quantity of hose has been accumulated in the hose package. As a result, the hose package is fixed and a cutting device (36) which is provided for cutting the hose separates the hose package from the hose in a region above the hose package. |
