PURPOSE:To separate a paper and an ink ribbon from sticky state, feeding the paper and the ink ribbon together when a power source is thrown in or a print signal is inputted, and stopping the feed when a mark applied on the ink ribbon is detected during feeding. CONSTITUTION:Upon throw-in of power source, a paper 3 and an ink ribbon 4 are fed together by predetermined distance, and marks 4a, 4b, 4c applied on the ink ribbon 4 are detected during feeding so a to stop feeding of the paper 3 and the ink ribbon 4 when the detection of marks is confirmed. When the marks 4a, 4b, 4c can not be detected, the paper 3 and the ink ribbon 4 are fed further so as to detect next marks 4b, 4c, 4a, thus stopping the paper 3 and the ink ribbon 4 when the detection of marks is confirmed. Consequently, the paper 3 and the ink ribbon 4 can be separated from sticky state. Said operation may be carried out when a print signal is inputted. |
