The coil is formed by a conductive track (1) executing semicircular meanders across rectangular portions of a flexible strip (3) of insulating material. The points of inflection of the meanders occur at folds (8) across the strip. The ends of the meander are broadened into contacts (4) on the ends (9) of the strip, which is folded into a compressed concertina formation so that curves of the conductive track are superimposed. A hole concentric with the curve can be made through each fold, to form a cylindrical passage through the concertina for a core. |
