The mountings are secured by one or more anchor bolts to the surface of the building and allow adjustment of the strip distance from the surface (1). Adjustment can be by screw threads in the mountings (6), with screws engaging in tapped sleeves (3) in the surface. Each mounting can be on a plate (4), secured by fixings to the surface. The mounting can be fork-shaped, with the cover strip (21) fitting in it and secured in it by a grub screw. The strip can be a solid- or hollow-profiled component, with a lengthwise recess via which it fits on the mounting.
