The net (7) comprises two sets of parallel wires joined together to form a coarse meshwork. Part or all of one of the wires is of a different colour to the rest, so as to form a picture, pattern etc. The wires can be covered with colouring material, typically formed by sheet shrunk or glued into place. The wires in the two sets can be locally woven or knotted together, and it can be fixed to a frame for use with ball-games, e.g. tennis, football, hockey etc.
