摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To together achieve the high density printing and antistatic properties of a thermal transfer ink ribbon by treating the surface of a coloring agent with a coupling agent having a functional group and aluminum and zirconium atoms to which a hydroxyl group is bonded in its chemical structure. SOLUTION: A binder component is dissolved in a solvent and a coloring agent or the coloring agent and a filler and a coupling agent are simultaneously added to the resulting soln. and the surface of the coloring agent is treated with the coupling agent while pigment is dispersed by a sand mill or a ball mill to obtain a desired thermal transfer ink compsn. The coloring agent is surface-treated with the coupling agent represented by formula (wherein R1 is a cyclic hydrocarbon group, a non-hydrocarbon group or a hydrogen atom, X is a functional group, Me1 is group IIIb elements and Me2 is a transition metal element).
