<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image record of high image quality and high density at a high speed by providing means for condensing light beams emitted from a plurality of light emitting elements to a common condensing point, and means provided at or near the point to focus the beam with a sufficiently larger opening diameter than the diameter of the beam on a photosensor. SOLUTION: A laser eye 1 has 1400 pieces of laser light emitting elements 1a disposed in a line state. Each element 1a has an opening diameter D of 5μm and a distance G of 21μm to the adjacent element 1a. When the respective elements 1a of the eye 1 are driven in response to the image signal by a driving circuit 14, the laser beams emitted from the respective elements 1a are condensed to a condensing point 6 via a field lens 2, and focused on a photosensor drum 5 via an orthometalens group 7. The drum 5 is rotated at a predetermined speed in a sub-scanning direction, and an electrostatic latent image responsive to the image signal is formed on the surface.</p> |
