<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten SOx treating capacity and to treat both NOx and SOx with high efficiency by providing a nondischarge pipe electrode of ground potential which has nozzle electrodes for jetting additive gas causing heterogenous reaction with SOx and applies no voltage. SOLUTION: A nondischarge pipe electrode 2a and a discharge pipe electrode 2b made of metal are installed in a reaction vessel 6, and the nondischarge pipe electrode 2a and the discharge pipe electrode 2b are made adjacent to an intake 6a side and an air exit 6b side respectively. To around the heads of the pipe electrodes 2a, 2b, nozzle electrodes 3a, 3b for jetting additive gas are fitted. The nondischarge pipe electrode 2a is held at ground potential to form a discharge area between it and a plate electrode 1. The discharge pipe electrode 2b is connected to a voltage supply source 4 to form a discharge area between it and the plate electrode 1. In the nondischarge pipe electrode 2a, heterogeneous reaction with SOx is caused, and in the discharge pipe electrode 2b, radical particles are generated to remove NOx and SOx .</p> |
