PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of creases formed on a color donor element during printing. SOLUTION: This coloring matter donor element contains a coloring matter donor layer,. containing coloring matters dispersed in a connecting agent, on a supporting body and provided with a relative elongating rate δL in a principal direction as well as a relative elongation rate δB in a lateral direction while an angle α between the result if vector sum of δL and δB and the vector δL is smaller than 82 deg. and the relative elongation rates δL and δB are measured for 10min employing the load of 200g under the condition of at 200 deg.C.
