<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform continuous turn-over conveyance of paper sheets without lowering a conveyance property in a turn-over pass of even a paper sheet being curled and lowering productivity. SOLUTION: Drive of a motor 219 is transmitted to a conveyance roller pair 210 through gears 220, 221, 222, and 223 and a clutch 218. Further, drive of the motor 219 is transmitted to a switch back roller pair 212 through gears 220, 224, 225, and 226. A CPU 227 disengages a clutch 218 at a point of time when the forward end of a second recording paper (a short paper) conveyed by a conveyance roller pair 210 arrives at a spot situated right upstream of a deviated paper 214. At a point of time when the rear end of a first recording paper (a short paper) passes the deviated paper 214, the clutch 218 is engaged. Further, the conveyance roller pair 210 and the switch back roller pair 212 convey the recording paper at a process speed.</p> |
