PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive material for a compact image forming method by adding an org. reducing agent, a silver source and at least one compd. selected from a specific phthalic acid derivative group to an image forming material. SOLUTION: An image forming material heated according to data to form an image contains an org. reducing agent, a silver source and at least one compd. selected from a group consisting of phthalic acid derivatives represented by formulae I-III. The formula I is HOOC-Z1 -COOH (wherein Z1 is a 4 or more C straight chain or branched chain alkylene group or alkenylene group) and, in the formulae II, III, R1 -R4 and R5 -R8 are respectively independently a halogen atom or a hydrogen atom. |
