<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a two-piece solid golf ball particularly suited for use by beginners and middle-grade players by being excellent in a carry, and providing a good feeling although it is lightweight. SOLUTION: This golf ball comprises a solid core covered with a cover, with a number of dimples formed on the surface of the cover. The weight of the golf ball is 41 to 44.5g, and the cover is made from a thermoplastic resin with a Shore D hardness of 50 to 68 degrees, and when the hardness of the core is measured with a JIS-C type hardness meter its surface hardness is 85 degrees or less and its center hardness 80 degrees or less, the surface hardness being higher by 5 degrees or more than the center hardness.</p> |
