摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a coal gasifier stably and to improve the efficiency of power generation by economically performing the prevention of ash dusting without lowering the efficiency of the plant. SOLUTION: This plant is adapted so that coal 15 may be sent with a carrier gas 16 into a coal gasifier 1 and reacted with an oxidizing agent 17 to form a gas and to melt ash of coal 15 into slag, the heat of the formed gas is recovered by heat recovery boiler 2, unreacted charr and dust in the formed gas are removed with a deduster 3, the formed dedusted gas from the deduster 3 is desulfurized with a desulfurizer 7, and power is generated by using the desulfurized purified gas. The plant is provided with a heat exchanger 33 where the heat is exchanged between at least part of the formed gas withdrawn from the exit of the deduster 3 and the medium to elevate the temperature of the medium and to lower the temperature of the formed gas to form a quenching gas and a compressor 38 where the pressure of the low-temperature quench gas is elevated. The gas at an elevated pressure is fed into the coal gasifier 1.
