PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a filter cloth for dust collection which has a small pressure loss, from which dust particles can be wiped off easily, and which has good friction resistance and mechanical strength by a method in which fibers which form felt and polytetrafluoroethylene staple fibers are bonded at least to one surface of the felt by interlacing, and multiple layers are made. SOLUTION: A web layer (fine layer) 1 comprises polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) staple fibers which are formed at least on one surface of base material felt 2. The felt 2 is composed of a ground fabric 3 in the middle and the fiber part 4 of the felt 2. In other words, on the felt 2 which is obtained, for example, by needle-punching ordinary fibers, a web which is obtained by a method in which a half-burned PTFE film, after being stretched 6-30 times, is scrubbed and split is placed, and by using a water-ejecting needle apparatus, fibers which form the felt and staple fibers which form the web are bonded together by intrerlacing to obtain multilayer felt. |
