<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the elution of heavy metals from a smoke dust containing the heavy metals while suppressing the increase of the quantity of the smoke dust after the treatment by adding an aq. solution of a water soluble polymer made insoluble through the addition of calcium ion to an incinerator waste gas and after that, adding slaked lime. SOLUTION: At the time of immobilizing the heavy metals contained in the incinerator waste gas, the aq. solution of the water soluble polymer to be made insoluble by adding calcium ion is added into the incinerator waste gas. The water soluble polymer contains a carboxyl group-containing monomer as a monomer components. After that, slaked lime is added. As a result, the polymer aq. solution is uniformly spread in the smoke dust before being affected by calcium ion in the slaked lime. Then, the heavy metals in the smoke dust is firmly immobilized and effectively prevented from being eluted.</p> |
