<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of construction work and enhance the quality and earthquake resistance of a construction by fastening both pipelines together through the fitting of the thickened pipe parts of both of the pipelines into tapered grooves provided in couplings, and using both of the pipelines as couplings. SOLUTION: A flange 31 having a contact taper surface 31a is formed at each end of a thickened tube part 32b. Seal members 33 are provided on the contact surfaces 31b of both of the flanges 31. A coupling 30 fastening the ends of both pipelines 32 together comprises upper and lower couplings 34, 35 into which it is split circumferentially with respect to the axes of the pipelines, and tapered grooves 36 are formed in the couplings 34, 35. Both of the flanges 31a are fitted into the tapered grooves 36 provided in the couplings 34, 35, bolts 37 are passed through through holes 34a, 35a, 34b, 35b provided in the couplings 34, 35, and the upper and lower couplings 34, 35 are fastened together by bolts 37 and nuts 38 to fasten the pipelines 332 together. The collar 31 serves as a thickened part and can be regarded as the thickened pipe part 32b.</p> |
