PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saw used only for cutting roots, capable of eliminating the troubles of a sharpening work, free from the deterioration of the cutting quality, excellent in durability and workability, and useful on the transplantation of trees, etc., by sharpening the blade part of the saw and subsequently applying a hard chromium plate to the saw in a thickness within a prescribed range. SOLUTION: This saw is obtained by sharpening the blade part 1 or whole metal part 2 of a saw used to cut trees, and subsequently applying a hard chromium plate to the saw in a thickness within an allowable range of 10-30μm. The saw used only for cutting roots is not corroded, and improved in wear resistance.
