PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the image quantity of a part in question and to be observed while maintaining a frame rate by making a scanning control means capable of varying the density of scanning lines for constituting a scanning surface in an ultrasonic beam scanning direction. SOLUTION: Within the scanning surface 10, while maintaining the number of the scanning lines 12, the density of the scanning lines is raised only for a specified range 10A and the density of the scanning lines is lowered for the other range 10B. Thus, while recognizing the entire ultrasonic images, the image quality of a specified part is improved. Also, in the case of performing transmission and reception only for the specified range within the scanning surface 10, the density of the scanning lines is improved within the range and the image quality is improved without lowering the frame rate. Such density variable system and partial high density system are realized by computing a transmission delay amount and a reception delay amount, etc., by a parameter computing part, storing them in a RAM and reading and utilizing them. |
