<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start an engine securely even in any sort of environment, by controlling to operate a solenoid, prior to rotating a starter motor, in the engine starting condition. SOLUTION: Prior to driving a starter motor which requires a large starting current, a solenoid 18 is operated, and then a choke lever is pulled. That is, the choke operation is carried out prior to the starting of the starter motor for the time more than the operating time of the solenoid 18, or more than the starting time of the motor. As a result, the choke can be pulled until the battery voltage is reduced by the starting current of the starter motor. Even though the battery voltage is reduced after that, the operation holding voltage of the solenoid 18 can be lower than the operating voltage, and the motor rotation for operating the solenoid can be maintained even though the voltage is lower than the starting voltage, so as to make the choke operation secure.</p> |
