PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separately correct color of each object (graphic, character, photograph) of an printed image on the side of a printer device in a desktop publishing. SOLUTION: Printed data described in page description language(PDL) are transferred from an editing device 12 to a printer device 14. The printed data are stored in a storage device 24 so as to be repeatedly read out when required. An object type judging part 30 judges the type of each object (graphic, character, photograph) with reference to the printed data. In a color correction part 32, a color correction table is selected corresponding to the type of judged object so that color correction is effected for the printed data of the object, following which the printed data for each object are synthesized at a synthesis part 42 and color-corrected images are printed at a printer 44. Contents of the color correction table can be freely rewritten by a user. Instead of the type of object, the color correction table may be selected by judging name of software for generating object. |
